Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is very important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and on other pages where personally identifiable information may be requested. This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on this website.
The Information We Collect
We will request information from you through the registration process. When you register, you may be asked to provide your name, email address, address and zip code, as well as other identifying information. You may also be required to select a user ID and password.
Data Collected to Manage Your Membership
At checkout, we will collect your name, email address, username, and password. This information is used to setup your account for our site. If you are redirected to an offsite payment gateway to complete your payment, we may store this information in a temporary session variable to setup your account when you return to our site.
At checkout, we may also collect your billing address and phone number. This information is used to confirm your credit card. The billing address and phone number are saved by our site to prepopulate the checkout form for future purchases and so we can get in touch with you if needed to discuss your order.
At checkout, we may also collect your credit card number, expiration date, and security code. This information is passed to our payment gateway to process your purchase. The last 4 digits of your credit card number and the expiration date are saved by our site to use for reference and to send you an email if your credit card will expire before the next recurring payment.
The Way We Use Information
As with all information we obtain from you, Benefits Essentials will never rent or sell your personal information without your permission, except as noted herein. If you use any of the services that Benefits Essentials offers through our partners, affiliates and others, you may be asked to supply identifying information about yourself and/or other family members to facilitate delivery of such services to you. In all instances, the information is only used for the purpose for which it was supplied and is not otherwise used or disclosed. Benefits Essentials offers several services on our site where we will, by necessity, need to provide some of your information to the third party offering the services. We supply this information only as necessary to provide these services.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
You should not disclose your password to any third parties or share it with any third parties. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your information and may be responsible for and subject to actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if you suspect that your password has been compromised, you should immediately discontinue use of the service and contact Benefits Essentials.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Partners and Affiliates
It is not our current policy to sell lists containing detailed personal customer information. We may, however, offer products and services through our partners and affiliates. If you take advantage of these products and services, you are authorizing us to provide that partner with the relevant information needed to fulfill the offer. If you become a customer of that partner, you will be subject to that partner’s privacy and other policies. We therefore encourage you to review the privacy and other policies and agreements of our partners and affiliates before you respond to their offers or disclose your personal information. While we choose our partners and affiliates carefully and with your best interests in mind, and encourage them to employ industry-standard privacy and security policies, we cannot be responsible for the privacy practices, products or content of such third-parties.
On 25th of May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) became effective. EU GDPR is the most important change regarding data privacy in over 20 years, causing all web data controllers and processors to re-consider how they manage, store, and transmit user data.
We use Google Analytics to guage the use and usefulness of our site, to provide our members with the most relevant user experience and information. As with other web applications, Google Analytics is subject to the new GDPR regulations. Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) is one of the most popular Google Analytics solutions for WordPress.
About EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
If you’re interested in specific details regarding GDPR or GDPR in general, we highly recommend visiting www.eugdpr.org. The FAQ section of the website would be a pretty good starting point.
Things you should know about Google Analytics
According to Google Analytics terms of service (TOS), Analytics customers are prohibited from sending personal information to Google.
By default, the GADWP plugin doesn’t send this type of data to Google. Personally identifiable information (PII) includes but is not limited to: names, social security numbers, email addresses, data that permanently identifies a particular device (such as a mobile phone’s unique device identifier if such an identifier cannot be reset), or similar data.
Regarding IP addresses (which can also be considered PII in certain circumstances), Google Analytics reports do not include or display such information.
Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
How You Can Access or Correct Your Information
You can advise us of errors in your personally identifiable information by sending an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
How To Contact Us
Should you have other questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please call us or send us an email at email@example.com.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
We employ various methodologies and technology to ensure that your information is treated securely in accordance with our own internal security protocols. Our secure data networks are protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Information is stored on a secure server. Benefits Essentials uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure that passwords and other sensitive information are encrypted before being transmitted over the Internet.
Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced, as necessary. No data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network, however, can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to or from us, and you do so at your own risk. You can be assured that once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
Benefits Essentials may update this policy from time to time as we add new services and new features. Changes on our site may require additional information. We will notify our users about such changes by making changes on this page. We encourage you to check this policy each time you visit our site to see if changes have taken place.
This Privacy and Security Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of our Terms and Conditions of Service.
